Declutter some old packaging materials that you don’t think you are likely to use any time soon. Especially if they are taking up way too much space.

If you have a freecycle or craigslist nearby, I’ve had really good luck giving away packing material. Air pillows, styrofoam bits, bubble wrap are all popular. Boxes sometimes take a bit longer but usually go. Paper wrapping isn’t easy to give away, unless it goes with moving sized boxes–moving boxes are their own category.

I am working on this regularly by sending care packages to our married daughter. It seems there is nearly always something a bit fragile in the box. The universe, however, sees fit to regularly re-gift me with packaging materials LOL
