Mini Mission ~ Wednesday 20Sep2017

Declutter something plant related. This might be something to do with gardening such as a  tool, planter pots, old seeds or potting mix, or maybe just weeds that are making your garden look shabby. It could also be a food item in your pantry that has been lingering for a while such as canned fruit or veggies, grain products or dried fruits. I could do a use it up challenge on some dried fruit for sure.

Planted a plant in a pot given to me 4 months ago as a birthday present – hope that counts.

Here’s how to get rid of lots of old, really dehydrated, packets of dried fruit. (‘Diabetic’ is a misnomer, because it’s full of fructose even if there’s no added sugar). Go for the really bitter, unsweetened orange juice. This freezes well too.

    Diabetics Fruit Cake

1 kilo dried fruit – any and all sorts
    2 cups unsweetened orange juice

    Soak these together overnight.

    Next day add:
    2 cups self-raising flour
    2 beaten eggs
    1 teaspoon mixed spice

Bake at 160Ëš C for about an hour (greased lined tin)

Found some natural fertilizer in the garage today. I will give it to my brother the next time I see him as I won’t be using it.

I brought a pot in from the garden today… after dumping the contents in “yard waste”… I think that pot had been sitting out there for 2 years… due to laziness on my part… not real decluttering, but it was something that got done 🙂 I have been extra tired this week, needing naps every day. I have made myself do some small chore every day though. Today, I started on my emails… I made a couple of new folders and have been moving the emails to the appropriate folders. If any emails are obvious trash, I have been deleting them. Later I will go folder by folder and delete as needed. This should keep me busy for the next 5 years haha 🙂
