Today’s Declutter Item
The kids have graduated high school now so they won’t be needing graph paper any more.
I am grateful from anything that brings me joy. Below are five things that gave me joy today.
- Getting my Craft Robo cutter to do what I wanted it to – It took a lot of coaxing and the odd swear word but we got there eventually.
- Figs heated for twenty seconds in the microwave with a drizzle of honey and served with a dollop of cream – The simple things in life are often the best.
- A trip to the art store – It is fun having an art student in the house I could browse in that store for hours yet resist temptation.
- The morning kiss from my husband before he leaves for work – It is a nice way to start each day.
- After a week of 40°C plus temperatures today’s 33 seems almost cool in comparison.
It matters not how fast I go, I hurry faster when I’m slow.

I have started back up reading Dave’s blog after my daughter heard him talk in person at a conference in San Diego 🙂

I had never read his stuff before the book was sent to me. I was a bit surprised I was asked to review it considering the only time I ever mentioned The One Hundred Thing Challenge was to say I don’t agree with it. But I have been reading his stuff since and am very interested in what he has to say.

Reading the last item on your grateful list, I have to say that although we’ve had a lot of snow (a lot!) in our corner of the world, I’d take it any day over the heat!! We don’t have an air conditioner, but then our summer temps usually top out at 35 degrees, and that’s only for a few days. If it got worse than that, I think we’d be adding AC to our army of fans. Hang in there! It will be cooler before you know it.

Hi Jo,
“cooler day” does seem to come a lot in my grateful list these days. We had another scorcher yesterday but today is cloudy and we had a sprinkle of rain just now. I hate to run the aircon but on days over 35 degrees I am not putting up with.
