Declutter an item from the season you have, or are still moving out of. Winter for us in the South and Summer for those in the North. It could be a clothing item or anything related to that season that you did not use this time around and doubt you will ever use in the future.

Going to pretend I’m in the south! I just got down the box of winter gear from the attic (even if the weather thinks it’s mid-summer, I know winter is coming! It better be!). Set aside a couple adult coats to donate and a pair of boots too small for kid and as soon as I can pin him down long enough to try on coats I expect one or two more to go. It’s a good time to get them to the thrift shop.

I decluttered some chores today. Got my hair cut. We canceled our “DSL” service last month and replaced with a more compact internet thingie. I called today & found out they want the modem back (still have to drive it there). My best friend wrote asking me when could we visit in October. I got back to her with a proposed date. Verified the amounts on my last paycheck, texted my boss about a discrepancy. Stopped at our cell phone service provider to ask about an email they sent. I took care of what they wanted (I think). Contacted the seamstress about a t-shirt she is making for me. (Please don’t think I should do this myself because sewing hurts my back!) Figured out how to use up some pasta we had last night (we will be adding zucchini, tomato, & hard boiled egg crumbles). I made some “oatmeal cookies” (literally made up the recipe)… not good enough to share but I can eat them 🙂

I threw away a summer shirt I had gotten at the thrift shop. It didn’t work out very well and I didn’t feel it was good enough to take back for reselling.

I put a pair of dressy work sandals on the donation pile. I’ve started wearing flats to work in the summer, but had neglected to release the sandals from my closet. Still have way too many shoes!
